Tokon is a learning / game for preschool (kindergarten - Group2) with the aim to raise the preparatory math skills to a higher level. The time the children spend in front of the tablet PC is deliberately limited and will not exceed 20 minutes / day. The toddler goes through the exercises according to his pace and passion.

At Ghent University, a new game developed by which the preparatory math skills of children can be trained. It is specially designed for children and wacky calculators in Group 2. The game is based on the latest scientific findings on the development of numeracy skills in young children. Therefore, it was working very systematically in building amount to understanding the character concept and the appointment.

Now we have started paying close attention to all the features that a game a real serious game but make evidence-based remains.

The story is set in the area of interest of the children and every child wants to be liberator anyway, right?

For the teachers, it is a supplement, because the kids can practice their own level to this important math skills in kindergarten, without requiring additional training requirements. In addition, the teacher can follow the progress of the children, which is directly visible what students have difficulty with that particle count of the preliminary and who may need additional adjustments.

Last year, a pilot study was conducted, in which 132 children participated in group 2. They have the exercises done without that there was a real question game concept. Now it is implanted in a game where the teacher gets a lot more feedback about the pitfalls of the children.
